Late last year, Party Poker did away with their four skin sites and started allowing players to play in an independent player base. They still, however, boast the largest amount of ring traffic games. Party Poker takes much pride in their outstanding player loyalty programs and promotions. Players can also now play at Party Poker’s blackjack tables. PartyPoker.com is a co-sponsor of the ‘Go Red’ Team that along with Elle Magazine promotes heart health for women. Former WSOP Ladies Champ Jennifer Tilly is the teams co-captain.

I really like PartyPoker's software, especially with the upgrades they have done, both in October of 2005 and February of 2006. Even though I’m not a big fan of their graphics, the playability is relatively okay. PartyPoker has recently added new servers that will increase bandwidth and reliability for up to 100,000 players. Players can play at up to four tables simultaneously. One thing lacking is the limited information on previously played hands, there is however an adequate amount of information when you are in tournament play. Some new features available are BlackJack, side bets and deal making either in ring table games or tournament games.
Bonuses (4)
Party Poker has never offered very big deposit bonuses. I guess it is because they are the biggest online poker room and so many people want to play there. The current available deposit bonus is $25 when you deposit $50 or more.
Promotions (7)
Party Poker does have quite a few promotions going on. They have the Million Dollar guaranteed games every Sunday where you can either buy-in or win your way in from a freeroll game. The ‘tell-a-friend’ bonus for referring depositing players to PartyPoker.com is currently $25. You can also take advantage of the frequent player point programs as well as the numerous re-deposit bonuses of up to $100.

This is one online poker room where you will see real pro players emerge, and not just the ones that you see all the time. Players here range from complete beginners who don’t know a flop from a turn, to seasoned pros who make their living by playing online poker. Even at the middle level limit games, like the $2/$4 in no-limit and the $5/$10 fixed limit, you will typically find soft games, which is unlike other poker rooms where your competitors will give you a good run for your money.
Variety (7)
Even though PartyPoker doesn’t offer any heads up games or draw poker games, the variety is pretty good. Game varieties offered include No Limit Hold’em, Limit Hold’em, Omaha and 7-Card Stud, both HI/Lo and regular. The Sit-n-go game buy-ins range from $5 to $200, and the ring tables have stakes ranging from .10/.25 to $100/$200. The one variety that I think is missing here is that there are no short-handed games of Omaha available.
Site Traffic (10)
If you are looking for an online poker room with lots of traffic and thousands of people online at any given time, you’ve found the right room. PartyPoker.com has one of the most highly trafficked online poker rooms. The traffic here is typically at least 75,000 players only, and that is at the non peak times. While bigger tournaments are going on you can see close to 100,000 players online.
Cash Games (10)
With a player base near 100,000 people, traffic at both ring and tournament games has never been an issue. You can surely find a table to sit at and very rarely do you have to wait to play, unless of course a table is so smoking hot that noone wants to give up their seat. With so many thousands of players, you can assure that you ll find a game to play any time here. For June of this year we saw about 15,000 players at ring tables and 65,000 tournament players during peak hours.

The support department at Party Poker has made some changes and seen great improvement of the past couple years, including their very fast response times for phone support, which typically takes less then a minute now. Those answering their phones are very knowledgeable about bonuses and promotions and also about a variety of in game technical issues. Email response times are still a bit lagging but I would definitely suggest using the phone support before opting for the email support.

As one would expect, Party Poker earns a perfect score here. No security issues seen by one of the biggest online poker rooms. Keep your players happy and they are sure to come back.

As with other online poker rooms that have a player base this size, you can expect a wide variety of banking options, both for depositing and cashing out.
