One of the best things about chan poker is that the software it runs on is so easy to use and looks neat and clean. With 3d characters, sound effects and slick looking tables, it is hard not to like this place. Within the lobby, the light grey color scheme actually makes it much easier to focus on finding a game you want to play. The poker client is available in both a downloadable and no-download version. Mac and Linux players will be glad to know that the browser version of the poker client will work great for them.

The current deposit available at ChanPoker.com for 1st time depositors is 100% up to $1000. Another reload bonus is available after that and is worth 100% up to $500 and players are awarded two $20 tournament tickets as well. All bonuses are now incremental, for example, if your bonus amount is less than $100, ChanPoker will release the full amount. The more bonus money players have coming to them in bonuses the more incremental payments they will receive. Maximum bonus amounts will be release over 4 increments.

As with many other new poker rooms that have opened, the level of competition in the beginning is quite scattered. There are always plenty of new players, and plenty of loose players that are attracted to the low limit and micro limit tables. Generally speaking the level of competition at this point is somewhat weak.

Game variety at Chan Poker is above average. You will find the standard Texas Hold’em and Omaha games as well as Omaha Hi/Lo and 7 card stud, both Hi and Hi/Lo. Players can also play at short handed tables or heads up if they don’t want to play at a full ring table.

One major benefit to being a part of a large online network like OnGame Network is that the traffic here always seems steady with about 20,000 players online at peak times. Although the majority of the ring table players are going to be congregating at the Texas Hold’em tables with a few others at the Omaha tables. Not many folks are interested in staying long at the stud tables, yet.

Ring and tournament traffic at Chan Poker has been slow but steadily increasing. One reason for the increase in tournament traffics here is the promotion for the WSOP prize package. Also more players are interested in the freeroll games and the weekly guaranteed games offered. When looking at the ring game traffic you will notice that the vast majority of players are seated at the lower limit Texas Hold’em games.
