One of the newest additions to the Merge Gaming Network, Carbon Poker grew out of what was Poker.com. As a rapidly expanding network with quite a few online poker sites, the Merge Gaming Network is in its final stages of migration. Merge Gaming is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing groups of online gaming sites in the industry. As of right now, you can play Texas Hold’em and Omaha and several other poker variations on Carbon Poker. This overall rating will increase greatly once we see more customer support options.

Carbon Poker is a member of the Merge Gaming Network and they have great software. The graphics clean and clear and the functionality is average. The availability to add tags to players such as ‘sharks’ or ‘fish’ is a great feature on CarbonPoker.com They also have cool features in the lobby like average pots, viewed hand playing percentages and hands played per hour. The software does however, limit you to a single window view, but you can tab through several tables. This format can tend to lead to bad moves being made from the confusion of which table or tournament you are viewing.

Prize packages to both the WPT and WSOP will also be given away. The other big promo going on at Carbon Poker is the Pindebit 10% bonus, where you got 10% up to $100 for your initial Pindebit deposit. Generally speaking, the players here are quite soft. This site could possibly be the best online poker room to make a profit off of that soft competition. Players here are also remarkably friendly, haven’t seen anyone on tilt yet, with the exception of myself.

CarbonPoker.com, unlike its predecessor Poker.com, has an awesome variety of games. From the usual Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7-Card Stud Hi/Lo to the harder to find games like Razz, 5-Card Stud, Ace to 5 Lowball, Badugi, Blackjack, and Backgammon.
Carbon Poker has a huge amount of freerolls everyday, including $50,000 freeroll on the last Sunday of the month, a $10,000 freeroll every Sunday, $2000 freeroll every Saturday, and $1000 freerolls every Monday through Friday, a $500 Freeroll for New Depositing Players, $50 freerolls every 2 hours, $50 New Player freerolls every 3 hours. The table limits on the game varieties vary from game to game with some limits starting as low as $.01/.02 for Stud , $.02/.04 for Texas Hold’em and go up to $50/100. Your limits for Blackjack are $1 minimum and $50 maximum per hand.
Carbon Poker also has 6 and 10 person Sit-n-Go tables as well as Heads-up games.

The freerolls at Carbon Poker are very heavily promoted and most of them offer quite generous cash payouts. That will definitely begin to boost the player base at Carbon Poker. You will generally see about 4000 players online at any given time..

Since the start of the promotions for WSOP, WPT and APPT satellites, the amount of ring game traffic has stagnated. But the traffic at the tournaments has steadily increased as people are trying to win their seats to the all of those events and the Aussie Millions, with that player base averaging around 3000 players.

This is one area that could really use some revamping. At this time CarbonPoker.com offers no live support, and no telephone support. Your only option right now is email support. They claim that they respond with in 30 minutes but I have yet to see that. I feel that once they begin to offer telephone support and/or in-game support these issues of timely customer responses will be resolved.

There have been no reported problems with site security at CarbonPoker.com as of this writing.
Banking (8)
Carbon Poker has several banking options for all players. You can use any of the following methods to make your deposit: Click2Pay, Neteller (in select countries only), ePassporte, MoneyBookers, my Citadel, Visa or Matercard, EcoCard, eWalletXpress, Fonelinx and also the newest addition, Pindebit. The withdrawl methods are generally the same except for the option to withdrawl by Check for US and Canandian players. I have made just one withdrawl from Carbon Poker by Check and if memory serves me correctly I received the check about 7 days after I made my cashout request.
