Summary (7.5)

One of the newest online poker rooms, Aced Poker, opened in 2008 and replaced the fallen Chan Poker. As part of the Merge Network of Online poker rooms, Aced.com boasts some fantastic promotions and bonuses along with a great variety of poker games. With all the features here along with side games, this online poker room looks to be one that will last and make players come back often.
Software (9)

When the developers of Aced Poker set out to get their client going, they spared no expense for the design. This has to be one of the sleekest and cleanest designs of all. Because Aced is part of the Merge Network, connectivity issues are extremely rare, so players won’t need to fear interruptions in their games.
With tabbed browsing at the top of the poker client, the lobby here is simple to navigate and gives players the ability to separate games based on the type, limit and style of tournament. One very cool feature here is that the navigation of the lobby is integrated into the table skin, so if you need to search for other games you can do so without missing a beat from your current game.
And with software that is completely customizable players will love playing at Aced.com Everything from downloading your personal icons and emoticons and table skins is available. Multiple tables can also be played simultaneously
Bonuses (8)

The current initial deposit bonus at Aced Poker is 100% up to $1000. Unlike many other online poker rooms, the bonus here is paid out in $5 increments, so if is easier for players to receive their bonus monies. The only problem I have with the bonus payout is that you only have 60 days to claim your entire bonus money amount. Another bonus available to players is the Refer a Friend bonus worth $25 for every depositing player that you refer. A very cool bonus that is offered here is the Royal Flush Bonus that pays players 100x the big blind when they get a royal flush.
Promotions (8)

Aced is loaded with promotions to keep their players coming back for more action. From the Aced ‘outs’ to the MTT leaderboard and the Aced LuckBox, where players can earn up to $6,000 with the Poker Box of Luck. Another promotion is the Four Aces, where like the Royal Flush promo, any player that gets Four Aces will receive 40x the big blind as a bonus payout. There are also plenty of satellite games that can get players to the World Series of Poker or the World Poker Tour for as little as $2.
Players (7)

Due to the fact that Aced.com is part of the Merge Network, a solid player base is always available. While just like any other online poker room, here you will find players that are true beginners to players that should have gone pro years ago. You will find that at most of the lower limit table games the play is quite loose and the opposite is true at the high limit table games. Tournament looseness really depends on the style of tournament. In the low buy-in tournaments with rebuys and addons, you will generally see some extremely loose play as players are just trying to beef up their stacks.
Variety (9)

Just like the other online poker rooms within the Merge Network, the game variety at Aced is very good. From the tried and true Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Stud Poker to newer, less featured games like Triple Draw and Badugi. You will also find quite a few side games here that make for some good fun, like BlackJack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Roulette and Euchre.
Site Traffic (7)

Once again, since Aced poker is part of the Merge Network, there is never a lack of good competition. On an average day you can expect to see somewhere between 5000 and 7500 players seated depending on what tournaments are running. Like most other online poker rooms, Aced Poker traffic tends to have about 2/3 at the tournament tables and the other 1/3 at cash game tables.
Cash Games (7)

Thanks in large part to the Merge Network, players should have no problem finding a game here that they like. Choose from poker varieties like Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Stud Poker, Draw Poker and a few Mixed games. If you get bored with Poker, which I doubt you will here, you can venture over to the side games where there again is no shortage of good competition.
It seems that there is always some sort of tournament running at Aced, no matter what time of the day or night. Aced offers a wide variey of tournaments including freezeouts, sit-n-gos, rebuy tournaments, bounty games, satellites and custom sit-n-gos. No matter what style of tournament you like, you will find it here. Buy ins for tournaments range from $1 to $109, and many of the guaranteed tournaments end up not having enough players to cover the guaranteed amount so the payouts can be higher.
Support (7)

Nothing beats good customer support from any online poker room. And so far Aced has not disappointed in this department. I would like to see a phone support option in the future, but if you need to reach their customer support, you can do so either by email (support@aced.com) or through the Live Chat function within the poker client.
Site Security (9)

As with many other new online poker rooms, Aced Poker has made site security a top priority. We haven’t heard of any issues or complaints as of this writing.
Banking (6)

Banking options are the one place that seems to need improvement, and not really that much. New options are currently being looked at to accommodate players from all over the world. As of now, banking options, both deposits and withdrawals, include: Visa, Mastercard, Fonelinx, Neteller, EWalletExpress, MoneyBookers, Pic-Club, Click2Pay and EcoCard.
